Delta Medical Services, Inc, began in 1998 providing innovative nursing service in the Shreveport/Bossier and surrounding areas (Region Seven).
We are licensed by the State of Louisiana as a Medicaid Waiver Provider for Personal Care Attendants (PCA), Respite Care Services, Supervised Independent Living (SIL), and Long Term Care. Delta Medical Services are affiliated with Caddo Council on Aging to provide PCAs for the National Family Caregiver Program.
We also provide sitters for the private pay sector. Our sitters are CPR qualified.
All Delta employees are carefully selected, trained, bonded, and screened through criminal background checks.

Delta Training Academy
Mission:
To provide quality educational opportunities necessary to demonstrate competency within the healthcare profession. Delta Training Academy is a proprietary school licensed by the Louisiana Board of Regents and a member of the Louisiana Career College Association.
Founded in 1998, Delta Training Academy offers an established curriculum and flexible enrollment schedules to qualify graduates for entry into the high-demand field of health care.
We pride ourselves in delivering programs with a student-centered focus on quality and integrity.
Financial assistance is available through the Workforce Investment act (WIA) and Delta Training Academy approved payment plan.
Education:
Certified Nursing Assistant
Certificate of Completion
Individuals are trained in the basic principles of nursing assistance. Students learn basic anatomy, medical terminology, ethics, and communication. Graduates will be qualified to work in hospitals, Long Term Care facilities, and Home Health. Certification is granted by the Louisiana Nurse Aide Registry.
Classes are offered January through April and July through October:
- Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Patient Care Technician
Certificate of Completion (High School Diploma/GED Required)
Individuals will be multi-skilled in the areas of Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, and Unit Clerk. Students will be qualified to work in hospitals, doctor's offices, dialysis units, rehabilitation facilities, and centers providing patient care. Certification is granted by the Louisiana Nurse Aide Registry and the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
Classes are offered January through September:
- Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Phlebotomy Technician
Certificate of Completion (High School Diploma/GED Required)
Individuals will learn the proper procedure for blood collection. Graduates will be qualified to work in hospital laboratories, doctor's offices, and other medical institutions. Certification is granted by the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
Classes are offered February through August:
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Job placement is available to students who successfully complete the program course of study.
